#1017: Never Trust the Twin Wearing Boat Shoes

Apr 24, 2010
This week on Car Talk, you'd think twin brothers working in the same garage would have the same auto-diagnostic skills set, right? Well, Becky in Dallas is learning the hard way that it ain't necessarily so, after letting the wrong twin get his hands on her Lexus. Meanwhile, Craig in Maryland wants to spend 10 grand fixing up his beloved Camaro, but will the chance that he'll have to tack on the cost of a divorce change his mind? Also, on Stump the Chumps, we find out if Teresa in Minnesota really was being tailed by Black Ops helicopters, or if something more mundane was causing the noise in her Escort. And, how do you recover from a car prank delivered via Post-It? All this, plus a new puzzler from the Travel and Leisure series and more, this week, on Car Talk.

Old Camaros

You guys should know that most of these old camaros came out of the Van Nuys GM plant, notable for the terrible attitude of the work force and management, and more importantly for the JUNK that came off the assembly lines there.

Glen

Love your show! I particularly like the caller Glen with the 1991 car that was hurting his dating opportunities! Very funny guy and lovely voice... I would date him so feel free to give him my email address! Casey
