Tom and Ray,you're right about having to go to the small rural towns in northern MN to hear that Minuhsohtahn accent now days. The bigger towns have lost the Scandinavian accent. That's for sure! Yah, you betcha! Oh, they don't wear coon skin caps but they do wear huntin' clothes or fishin' clothes year round. Guys, you got to visit the rural towns in northern Minuhsohtah. The scenery is awesome and the people are great, if not entertaining. Remember the picture shows of Fargo and Grumpy old men? The producers of those movies did their homework on the people that live in those parts and depicted it quite well. Minuhsohtahns aren't stupid, they're actually very well educated because they take education very seriously there. What's wrong with keeping the culture of their accent?
