#1031: Bugsy's Letters From Camp
Jul 31, 2010
Jul 31, 2010
This week on Car Talk, the Past is Prologue, as we kick off the show with a look back at the beginning of a beautiful relationship between our Technical Advisor John Bugsy Lawlor and a nice juicy pizza, a sub and a watermelon, courtesy of his letters home from camp, many summers ago.
After our culinary diversion, it's off to South Carolina, where Christopher would like to be able to start his VW without whacking the fuel pump, and to Washington, DC, where Melissa would like to keep her Accord's door shut without the use of a rope. Also, teenager Sasha tries to learn how to drive a stick shift, away from her nervous Dad;
a truck analogy gets Tommy in deep doo-doo; and it's chamomile tea vs. lithium fusion missiles in an ill-fated short story collaboration. All this and more, on this week's classic edition of Car Talk.
Show Open Topic
