#1047 Let Sleeping Camrys Lie

Nov 20, 2010
This week on Car Talk, a bad case of marital guilt hits Alethea in Texas. She's "riding round in the Taj Mahal," while her husband's stuck driving a '99 Camry that can't keep its hubcaps on. Can she ease her conscience by finding him the perfect hubcaps, or should she follow Ray's advice to let sleeping dogs lie? Elsewhere on the auto- marital front, Amy in Ohio is hoping her hubby will dump his "Giving Tree" a.k.a. his '92 Pathfinder; and Debbie in Indiana wonders if a '97 Ford pickup with 300,000 miles is worth claiming in a divorce settlement. Also, on Stump the Chumps, we find out if Tom and Ray helped get rid of Don's squeal, and the familial exile that came with it. All this, plus a new Puzzler from the Haute Couture series, this week on Car Talk.

Laughter is good for the soul

I love you guys. Laughter is better than anti depressants. It's a great stress reliever, and I never fail to laugh when I listen to your show. Wish there were others like it. You are always so helpful to people (especially women) who would otherwise be up the creek, if you know what I mean. Even though I've worked on cars my entire life, I never fail to learn something new from you guy's. Thank you so much, and keep up the good work.

Wouldn't know where to start.
