#1435: Richard, His Goats, and Doris

Aug 30, 2014
This week on Car Talk, Richard the Goat Rescuer’s new pals like to climb on things—including cars, and especially Richard’s girlfriend’s Alfa Romeo. Does Richard need to turn to shock therapy to ground the goats and save his relationship? Elsewhere, Jeff’s Isuzu needs a new engine, but Jeff is worried that a transplant will irrevocably change his car’s soul. Can Tom and Ray provide some divine guidance on this existential-automotive conundrum? Also, Helena and her husband found a dream used car with one idiosyncrasy—it only goes in Reverse. Good thing it came with a spare transmission in the trunk. And, guess what turned up in a government auction—Sonja Henie’s tutu! Find out how, this week on Car Talk

Richard's goats

I'm a corporate pilot and was driving to the airport on Saturday when Richard called in about his goat problem. I was laughing so hard I was crying! The answer to the problem is simple - Richard needs to forget Doris and become more personally involved with the goats.
