I bought my van used, in Maysville, KY, on the first Saturday in May in 2012 — it was the day of the Kentucky Derby. We had the van for 8 years, and it drove me many times from Kentucky, where I was serving a Presbyterian church, to Connecticut, where my family lives.
When I became a hospice chaplain, it often drove me 200 miles a day when I went around 12 counties to see patients. It had almost 250,000 miles on it — and still drove — when I donated it to WSHU. That van didn’t owe me anything. I hope it contributed a good amount to your fine programming.
Laura donated a 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan to WSHU through the Car Talk Vehicle Donation Program.
Thank you, Laura!
