Today, my car donation is scheduled for pickup. My brand loyalty to Honda is second only to my loyalty to NPR. I have loved and will miss this wonderful, reliable car.
Switched to the Civic from an SUV back in 2007-2008, when gas prices increased. My kids were aging out of the need to accommodate trikes and car seats, so I down-sized to a Civic and enjoyed the increase in fuel economy. This car saw my kids through college, and carried me on numerous roundtrips to Chicago to see family.
This is my first time donating a car. I hope it provides a significant advantage to the station, or a family, or whatever is done with it. I don't have the time or energy to sell it, and am happier to see it go toward an organization I care so much about.
She needs some work, but runs great, and has remote start installed. She was loved well, maintained regularly at the dealership. She will be missed.
