1. Volume & Gross Records
We are celebrating a record breaking year for the Car Talk VDP program. We had a 44% increase in volume of donations to stations, and a 14% increase year over year for money raised. We are proud to deliver another stellar year for our station partners. We love our partnerships and value the consistent work our partner stations give to us to deliver a best in class program to our donors.

3. Golden Wrench Winner
The 2023 Car Talk VDP Golden Wrench award went to our partners at WDET. The Dodge 1964 880 won this year's award, this car donation was a special one and we had a lot of fun working with the donor and WDET. If you haven’t seen it yet, check out this video car detailing YouTuber AMMO did to preserve and restore the vehicle before the station’s raffle. This car also comes with a lot of history and quite the story to tell; listen in here to the donor Mary Wilson tell the story of her beloved Dodge 880 and the original owners of the vehicle.
4. CT Super Powers
Nobody knows public radio and car donations like Car Talk VDP. In 2023 we launched our superpowers as a way to show our partners and donors how we use our strengths to raise the most money possible on behalf of donors for their favorite stations. We understand the unique relationship between loyal listeners and their stations, and we can promise we will get the maximum dollars raised and returned for your donors.
5. Selfies and Reviews
Our donors have a deep affection for their cars, and deciding to part ways and donate their car can be a tough decision. Having the option to share the story of their vehicle has been a great way to make saying goodbye a little bit easier. In 2023 we received over 250 donor reviews and 173 donor selfies!
