Frequently Asked Questions

When I donate my car to my NPR station, will you share my vehicle donation information?

When you donate, we will not share your information with anybody, other than what is required by law, and the NPR station to which you're donating. Your NPR station gets your name and contact info (they'll be eager to say thanks), but outside of that and legal IRS reporting requirements, your information is never shared.

If (and only if) you specifically opt in during the car donation process, one of our producers may contact you to ask about why you donated your car to your NPR station, or ask for a picture of you with the car that we can share with other NPR fans, to encourage them to donate, too. But this part is completely optional, and only if you choose to opt in. By default, your information will remain private.
