National Auto Coverage offers three distinct coverage levels, and breaks pricing down by mileage within each one. The company receives good reviews for its customer service, which is due in part to the fact that it’s a direct administrator. Though there are no online claim filing options, most report a simple time filing a claim by phone.

NAC covers cars that are up to 20 years old with up to 200,000 miles, but if your vehicle is much newer than that, you can likely get away with a lesser plan. The Bronze plan covers all powertrain components, the heating and cooling system, and much more. That’s good coverage, especially if your car is recently off its factory warranty. As your car ages, however, you’ll want to step up coverage and may want a more comprehensive plan. It’s worth noting that, while your vehicle can have up to 200,000 miles at the start of any plan, you are not limited to a mileage number while you’re covered.

The only way to file a claim is to call National Auto Coverage’s phone line. The upside here is that you’re talking directly to someone at the company and not a third-party call administrator. Once you’ve filed a claim, NAC will work directly with the shop to handle covered repairs.
National Auto Coverage accepts vehicles that are up to 20 years old that have up to 200,000 miles. The company does not require a pre-coverage inspection, but does note that it will not offer coverage to higher-end vehicles such as sports cars and luxury vehicles. Once your vehicle is covered, you will have to wait at least 30 days and 1,000 miles before filing a claim.
