Puzzler time. This is a postal puzzler. Here we go.
Peg the postmaster planned to take Friday off for a long weekend. And she left Bob the mailman in charge of her office for the day.
She said, "Use my desk and telephone but don't use my private bathroom, whatever you do."
So, Bob knew that there was no way she could find out if he did use it, and it was such a long way to the men's room at the other end of the building. Besides, he was careful to put the seat down when he was done.
Monday morning comes and Peg is back at work. She went into her office and then came out in two minutes. She called Bob to her office and informed him that since he couldn't follow orders, his chance for promotion was gone. He would never become a postmaster. And he is walking a mail route still, to this day.
How could she have known that he used her private restroom?

Okay, so, how did Peg know that Bob used her private restroom?
What was her little trick?
Here it is.
She took a cup of water and added it to the tank in the back. So the tank had an extra cup of water in it when she left her office.
By adding the extra cup of water, she raised the water line in the back. If it was flushed, then the water line would go back down to normal.
So when she got back, and the water line was back to normal, she knew that Bob had used her restroom...
Not the best puzzler, I know. But still a puzzler!
