RAY: This is from my presidential inauguration series and it was sent in by Skip Whitford. Here it is:
On March 4, 1893, Grover Cleveland was inaugurated as our 24th president. It was the second time he was inaugurated. He had also been our 22nd president. Being inaugurated as our 24th, he succeeded his successor, Benjamin Harrison, who was our 23rd president.
There was another president who succeeded his successor. Who was it?

Answer:
RAY: Here's the answer. The other president in U.S. history to succeeded his successor was Benjamin Harrison.
TOM: Of course.
RAY: He succeeded his successor because his successor was Grover Cleveland. He was elected after Cleveland's first term and even though he was only elected to one term, he succeeded his successor. Who's our winner?
TOM: The winner this week is Ben Cobb from Nashville, Tennessee, and for having his answer selected at random from among all the correct answers that we got, Ben is going to get a $26 gift certificate to the Shameless Commerce Division at cartalk.com, with which Ben can get a T-shirt featuring Car Talk's favorite endangered species.
RAY: Yes, the increasingly rare Massachusetts grease monkey whose natural habitat has been devastated in recent years.
TOM: What habitat is that?
RAY: The boat yard.
TOM: Right. The endangered Massachusetts grease monkey T-shirt is yours, Ben, if you want it, for being this week's puzzler winner. Congratulations!
