Time for the new puzzler. Here we go.

This is a historic automotive puzzler.

A special vehicle was first produced in 1949. It was powered by a Jeep engine but then switched to a Volkswagen engine.

It had a base price of $50,000 when it came out and now is way above $100,000.

It is never raced, but can often be found in a closed course, so to speak.

A famous sports celebrity was the creator and first sales representative for this vehicle.

What is the vehicle and who was that famous sports celebrity?

Good luck.

Answer:

And the answer to this puzzler is...

The Zamboni!

The Zamboni is the machine they use to resurface the ice for hockey and ice skating rinks.

And the sports celebrity from that time period that is known as the father of the Zamboni is inventor and businessman Frank Zamboni.

Invented in 1949, the Zamboni is now used around the world to resurface ice rinks.
