Rolf Ecklund, of Swedish Motors in Miami, is a good, honest, hardworking Swede. He only fixes Volvos and is an expert. I feel very fortunate to have found him. He and all of his employees are very nice and I actually enjoy going there! I am a woman and I know for certain that I will NEVER be overcharged there. I was on a road trip once and my steering wheel became stiff to turn. I took my 1989 Volvo in to a local garage in Minnesota and was quoted a price of over $600.00 to fix it. It wasn't a dangerous situation, so I decided to wait until I got back to Miami. Rolf fixed the problem for $44.00. Really! Fourty-four dollars total! Another time he wasn't sure that the relay switch he replaced would fix my intermittent starting problem, so he didn't charge for labor and said he'd refund my money for the switch if it wasnt' right! WOW! I can't recommend Rolf Ecklund and Swedish Motors enough. Thank heavens for an excellent, honest mechanic!

Rolf Eckland and his people are honest and hardworking. I trust them 100%! If you have a Volvo, you can't go wrong with Swedish Motors.

I have a '89 740 GL and a '83 240 GL. I would not take either of these vehicles to any other mechanic. I took my 240 to a shop once for a repair and they told me the car needed a new fuel system which would cost me $3700...more money than what the car is worth. I took the car to Swedish Motors for a second opinion and they told me all the car needed was $250 worth of parts and labor and I was no my way. Since then Swedish Motors have been my Volvo Mechanic....Honest, Friendly, and Reasonible words you don't normally associate with mechanics but, if you go to Swedish Motors these are all words that will be very true.

Rolf is without a doubt the best auto mechanic I have ever done business with. He's got a great crew, too. Availability is great: I call them and get Rolf on the phone within a minute or so. He only does Volvos and there's not a thing he (or any of his mechanics, can't fix on a Volvo with their eyes closed. I've had Volvos all my life and Rolf has found perfectly fine expensive parts in the junk yard, fixed a heater core for $800 less in labor than the dealer, spent half an hour making sure my car is safe before I took my family on vacation as a courtesy, argued against replacing spark plug wires and a part in the A/C system, as he said that he would not do it in his own car. I took a 940 station wagon to him to check out before I bought it and he took a test drive and checked it out as a courtesy. Rolf is the only one I've told not to bother to call me with an estimate... If you have a mature Volvo and live in South Florida, going to Rolf is a very wise move.

I was from out of town and needed to find a repair shop for my Volvo. I found Swidish Motors on Talk's mechanics files. I arrived without an appointment and they immediately found the problem and tried to fix it without cost to me. Only when they determined a part was needed did they do the repair with minimal labor cost. I would recommend them. Their waiting area is sparse and location is in an industrial area but these cut down on their overhead.

Absolutely a pleasure to deal with. These guys really know EVERYTHING about Volvos from the '60s-'80s "classics" including my '93 245 to more modern Volvos. I was VERY impressed with just how knowledgable and friendly Rolf (a true Swede) and Chase were. I've owned five Volvos 240s and 940s for many years and I couldn't have been more pleased with the work they performed. They let me know what items needed addressing immediately and those that could wait. Turn-around was fast and they explained all work done thoroughly. Their prices were very reasonable. WAY more competent than the Volvo dealership! Super, super pleased I found them!
