Dear Tom and Ray:
What are the chances you guys can agree on a book recommendation? What's the best available book for the non-mechanic to learn something about how cars work? It would be great if you guys could agree.
Rob
TOM: Of course we can agree on a book, Rob. The one we split the royalties on!
RAY: We wrote a book ourselves, Rob. It's called CAR TALK, and it's a paperback published by Dell. If you can't find it in the "buck-a-book bin" of your local book store, you can call Dell directly at 1-800-255-4133.
TOM: And for an extra couple of bucks, they'll send you a copy in a plain, brown wrapper, so you won't have to suffer the embarrassment of having your friends and family know you're reading something WE wrote.
