Wes Bausch is a lifelong mechanic. As a child, he started customizing his toy cars and bicycles, and eventually graduated to anything with a motor. For 25 years he worked professionally on all brands of motorcycles and classic cars. After all that time, he wanted a different challenge and now works in the railroad industry building track maintenance machines. He still works on his own 1961 Chevy C10 pickup, 1928 Model A coupe project and his 1998 Harley-Davidson. As a long time Car Talk fan he is thrilled to be the newest addition to the writing team. Wes lives in Norfolk, Virginia with his wife and their dog, Sam.
