Chrysler Factory Warranty, a product of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles US LLC is the company that administers factory-authorized extended warranties for Jeep and all other Chrysler brands.
Unlike most brands, Jeep has a vast offering of coverage plans and durations, with a lot of customizable options to choose from.
Unlike an aftermarket extended warranty, Chrysler Factory Warranties are sold directly to the consumer online. In fact, the website claims that it is less expensive for a shopper to purchase the plan of their choice directly rather than from an authorized dealer.
Even more unusual is that you can buy a warranty after the initial 3-year, 36K new car warranty has expired. We verified this directly by calling the customer service line. However, the plans offered outside of that window are slightly different in their durations, and there is no “zero deductible” option for those who purchase after the initial vehicle warranty has concluded. The customer service representative also offered that the cost of an extended warranty is higher after the new vehicle warranty has expired.

Chrysler Factory Warranties are offered in three tiers of coverage. Within the three tiers, there are two other choices a shopper will make. First, is the duration. For Jeep owners still within the original new car limited warranty period, Chrysler Factory Warranties offers to extend the warranty to as many as eight years from time of original vehicle purchase and/or 125,000 odometer miles, but has multiple options for a shorter duration if the buyer wishes. There’s even an unlimited mileage offering capped at seven years from date of initial purchase. The second choice is the deductible. The warranty is offered in zero, , $100, or $200 deductible plans. The shopper can mix and match their preferences.
Owners of Jeeps outside of the new car warranty period have very similar choices. However, the zero deductible option is off the table, and the duration is measured in years from the date the extended warranty is purchased. This warranty is offered with mileage of up to 15,000 miles per year and time limits of 1 to 5 years from the start of the extended warranty.
The Chrysler Factory Warranty warranty is good at all Jeep dealerships, of course, but it is also valid at all Ram, Dodge, and Chrysler dealers as well.
Specs / Key Features
The Chrysler Factory Warranty offers three plans. Maximum Care, Added Care Plus, and Powertrain Care. As the names suggest, Maximum Care is a comprehensive warranty covering everything car warranties ever do, and Powertrain Care is a very limited warranty covering only a few of the larger vehicle systems.

This is an “exclusionary coverage” policy, so anything that’s not on the list on the contract is not covered. The plans do not include normal wear items like tires. The plan is also not a pre-paid maintenance plan. You will still pay for oil changes, timing belts, and services for other normal wear items.
Given the wide variety of plans and durations offered, there is no specific answer to this question. Our research indicates that most extended warranties from Jeep cost between $800 and $3,000.

Third-party warranties are an option for any make or model vehicle. These plans are offered by companies who profit from selling used vehicle owners a plan that they know will cost vehicle owners more on average than the cost of any repairs.
The short answer is “maybe.”
