Donate a Car To Public Radio in Illinois

If you have a car, truck, van, SUV, motorcycle, RV, travel trailer, boat, or another vehicle you don’t use anymore, you can donate it to your favorite Illinois public radio station. Vehicle donation is a quick and easy way to get rid of your car, support your local NPR station, and receive a tax deduction!

All you have to do is select your station, provide information about your vehicle, schedule a pickup, and sign your title! Your car donation will directly support the Illinois Public Radio news, music, and entertainment programs you love.

How does a vehicle donation support Illinois Public Radio?

There are an estimated 4.5 million cars registered in Illinois. The average car in the Land of Lincoln is 10.9 years old. That’s significantly newer than the national average, but it still means that there are hundreds of thousands of cars that it would be financially foolish to fix. However, forgotten, unused, or unloved cars are worth donating to your favorite local public radio station.

A donation through the Car Talk Vehicle Donation Program will deliver 80% of the revenue generated directly to the Illinois public radio station of your choice. While the best part of donating a car in Illinois is the support you provide to the people who deliver news, music and insightful talk to your radio every single day, the second best part is how easy it is to donate.
